I have made this post so I could hear what you think about this idea. You have all seen film guides like '1001 films to see before you die' and 'Time Out's 2011 guide to cinema' so I thought I would make one. Mine won't have anything like 2000 titles, but there will be certainly a good amount. It will be organised alphabetically and the end of the book will have an index of film's by date, genre and director. All the films will be rated between 3 to 5 stars and I also include the date of the film, the genre and the age certificate of it (European and American). Here are some screen-shots of the content.
Now the advice that I would like from you is what I should do with the book when I finish it. I would like to sell it at a small price for a digital pdf copy, but I am not sure if anyone would want to pay for it. And as a film guide I think a physical copy would be better. I am not writing it for the money, but the book is going to be reasonably big and will feature at lest 250 titles. I am certainly willing to put it on for free. If I do have it with a price I would of course have a 15-25 page preview of it downloadable before someone decides to buy it. Please everyone suggest your ideas and thoughts on what I should do with this big project and if you would like to, suggest some films to include.
