Another Roger Corman production based on an Edgar Allen Poe poem and one of the best adaptions. "The Pit and the Pendulum stars horror master Vincent Price in a suspenseful and mysterious house. Although quite similar to "The Fall of the House of Usher" the film has you on edge at times and has a chilling atmosphere. The film is filled with presence and horrific imaginings It may not be something you want to watch in terms of how dated it is, but it still has a few surprises and is a good piece of classic cinema.

Puppet Master 4
In my last hope for an improvement in the series, I have kept going, but I don’t think I can take any more of these lousy films. The fourth instalment is even stupider than the last and it feels completely effortless. It is as if no one cared about trying to make a film. The acting for once was reasonable but the story’s slow and boring contents were painful. Let's not forget the sheer mediocre stupidity of the new character involved that just bends the rules of this whole puppet thing. I shall not go in to detail because I am not wasting time on this trash. Take some advice and do not watch this for Halloween, because you could be doing something better like nothing at all.
